I teach and do research in Second Temple Judaism and early Christianity, particularly in the area of apocalyptic literature. My first monograph, The Heavenly Book Motif in Judeo-Christian Apocalypses 200 BCE-200 CE, was published in 2011 by Brill. Most recently I have been working with the Book of Revelation, the Parables of Enoch, and the place of Enochic literature in the canon of the Ethiopian Orthodox church.
